As mentioned in the previous entry, we stayed Lyon this weekend. Today we decided to visit the Museum of Textiles. We decided to walk down the hill, as the funicular is closed that allows us to get the metro quickly. It was supposed to open up back today as it has been closed for two weeks, but to much to our disappointment there was notice that it has been extended until the 12th. So we started our walk.

Pretty steep stairs! The stairs we climbed back up the hill were even worse! |

I am curious how the cars get back down the hill. Back downward or attempt a really tight 3.2 turn? |

Another church we had not explored- St. George. Amazing pipe organ. When we walked past the church on the way home there was a trumpet concert. Wes and I would have loved to stay, but we were in the "danger zone" of the kids losing it because they were really..... hungry and tired.

It was a really narrow street, had difficulty getting full picture of the building. Located in medieval area of town. |
Of course as with any outing, the kids goal is to find a playground. I think we need a blog just to chronicle "playgrounds of Europe".
On our way to the textile museum- we walked past this pastry shop that has the cutest pastries. I thought this a was great way to decorate rice crispy treats.

Entry of the Textile Museum. Another building that is right at the street and to our surprise a whole other compound inside. Unfortunately I could not take pictures inside the museum. Beautiful pieces from clothing to furniture. Ava loved the history of french clothing from the roman times to present day. |
