French Brocantes

This weekend we decided to stick to the sites in Lyon again.  We are kind of tired of getting on trains and the thought of sitting on a train for more than 20 minutes did not appeal to us.   The kids had one request- the aquarium.  I on the other hand had another!  I had heard of french flea markets or "Brocantes"  (I guess the are slightly different than a flea market, but pretty much the same) and wanted to check one out.  There is a specific website that you can do the check out where a local one will be held.  I found one  right off the metro station.  I believe this might be the first of the year since the weather is allowing it more.  It was pretty cool.  A lot of the stuff I wasn't interested in, but the china and old cutlery was pretty neat and I wish I could buy a ton if it and take it home.

I find it fascinating that there are large buildings on the street and when the door opens there is an alley and entirely different building inside!

We really to buy these maps- however I have  no idea how we would get them home.
