This weekend we decided to stick to the sites in Lyon again. We are kind of tired of getting on trains and the thought of sitting on a train for more than 20 minutes did not appeal to us. The kids had one request- the aquarium. I on the other hand had another! I had heard of french flea markets or
"Brocantes" (I guess the are slightly different than a flea market, but pretty much the same) and wanted to check one out. There is a specific website that you can do the check out where a local one will be held. I found one right off the metro station. I believe this might be the first of the year since the weather is allowing it more. It was pretty cool. A lot of the stuff I wasn't interested in, but the china and old cutlery was pretty neat and I wish I could buy a ton if it and take it home.

I find it fascinating that there are large buildings on the street and when the door opens there is an alley and entirely different building inside! |

We really to buy these maps- however I have no idea how we would get them home. |
