As most of you have read, my first experience in a french grocery was not the best. My goal was to shop at the small local markets, and I have a little. I am going to the local boulangerie to by our daily bagette, but for some reason find myself waiting in the cold for the bus to the big supermarche. I remember when I was in Lyon about 5 years ago we stumbled upon a farmer's market. It was wonderful and I wanted to experience that again, but this time being able to actually buy and cook the food. We heard last week that the farmer's market was up and running again in the spring, but we must have ventured out the house too late last weekend, because we didn't see it. I was really disappointed. I did quite a bit of research on line last week and found a listing of the markets. Wes and I were determined to go. We dragged the kids out of bed a bit earlier than last week and headed down the hill. Well, we hit the jack pot!

The entry of the market- I am getting really excited at this point. |

I thought this was amusing to have a latin food truck, there was also a guy selling japanese tea. |

I was trying to take the picture fast, it was crowded and Wes's arm landed in the picture. |

Cheese heaven!!!!! |
I wish you could have experienced the smell- it was incredible! The price of the produce was much cheaper than the supermarket. We ended buying a large bag of oyster mushrooms, french green beans, artichokes, a large bagette, spinach, strawberries, and goat cheese. We had a pretty nice dinner tonight!
After a great lunch- the kids a lot energy and we decided to take them to the park and ride their scooters. Some of views on our walk.
